The Co-operative Membership Ambassador Programme is in its second year and we are still looking for members who would like to make a difference in their community.
At an initial one-day training session on co-operative values and principles you will learn how they can be applied to a role in an organisation or group.
After the training we can also broker a relationship with a local organisation to enable you to take on a role and apply these principles in your community.
Ambassadors will enjoy a closer relationship with the Society through monthly updates and feedback and quarterly training where you can also network with other like-minded members. And of course the Membership Team is always on hand to give advice.
If you would like to take part in the programme then please enter your contact details in the form below and a member of the Membership Team will be in contact with you to discuss your interests and availability for training.
Some examples of members who have been through the programme…
One of our Co-operative Membership Ambassadors who attended our training only recently has already taken up a role as a school governor at Beaufort School in Gloucester, a Co-operative Trust school that Midcounties is also supporting in other ways.
Another member is involved locally with Brownlow Community Centre in Shropshire and as Chair of that organisation is applying co-operative values and principles in the way they carry out the role.
