Our Community Projects

As part of our work with communities where we trade we have created on-going links with a number of local groups and organisations. Through these partnerships we provide funding, volunteering and support. Each partnership allows us to address elements of our identified key social issues of environment, education, social inclusion and health. The videos below provide a flavour of the way these partnerships work.

A-Dott 'Friday Night' Alcohol Awareness Project.- An alcohol awareness project and education resource for young people.

The project has been funded by The Midcounties Co-operative to highlight the dangers of underage drinking. It provides a DVD & education pack resource for schools, local community groups who work with young people.

Peter Penguin project Peter Penguin

Our Peter Penguin project is a collaboration between our Community and Food Retail teams to deliver an environmental awareness programme to primary schools across the area where we trade.

Knife Point projectKnife Point

The Painswick Inn Project (now Five Valleys Foyer) is a social enterprise working with disaffected young people in Stroud. We worked with the team to produce a DVD, Is this a dagger?, which has since been used as an educational tool for schools.
