Meeting the Board

We want to update you on the meetings that have taken place and what actions have been taken as a result of your representatives listening to members’ ideas and suggestions. The main question asked at all events was on “communication” in all its forms. Here is a snapshot of what happened:

1. Members asked us to use more methods when advertising member events.

We Now...

- Advertise the events in all stores within a ten mile radius of the event.
- Produce A5 flyers to be handed out in the larger stores
- Email the members in the area to inform them of the event

2. Members stated that the notice boards in stores were not always in the best place.

We have...

- Met with the head of property and within the next two months a pilot roll out for new notice boards will take place. This will include all the areas where local event co-ordinators are based.

3. Members stated that the “Meet the Board” event was useful and that they would like more in the future.

Hence...

- The Board of Directors and the Membership Strategy Committee have endorsed a programme to roll out these forums twice a year in Spring and Autumn in the following areas:
Black Country The Marches (Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcs)
Forest of Dean and Gloucester
Oxford and District
Swindon and District
